Padma Bushan late Dr.Jacob Cherian and Dr.Mary Cherian our founders, along with a team of committed people, had a desire to reach out to the poor and neglected ,to share God’s blessings and to be a shining light in a needy area. They dedicated their lives to this dream.

“Whatever you do for the least of these my brethren,, you do it unto me”

-Mathew 25:40

As early as 1955, they co-founded the CF hospital ,Oddanchatram along with  Dr. A. K . Tharien and others.

Two of the major health problems at that time was TB and Leprosy. Dr.Cherian took the initiative to build a 25 bedded hospital in Ambilikkai in 1966 for TB and Leprosy patients. Along with this, a Leprosy Rehabilitation school was started to transform the lives of leprosy patients from social outcasts to socio economically productive people.

A general hospital was begun which has now grown to a secondary level 150 bedded NABH accredited hospital.

The dream did not end with medical care .They ventured into the educational field starting Santhinekethan Higher Secondary School, Christian Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Christian Polytechnic, Engineering College and Rev.Jacob Memorial Christian Arts and Science College.

Various developmental projects were undertaken to uplift the community.

Mini health centres were established in different villages of Oddanchatram taluk, Dindigul district ,Tamil Nadu.
